I Love you so much right now: Neptunes

Pharell Williams Chad Hugo The Neptunes

The early 2000’s is Synonomous with Virginia Beach. Viginia beach is mostly kown for 4 things. Black post teens partying for spring break, Missy Elliot and Timbaland, The Clipse, and The Neptunes.

Pharrell Williams by now is a household name. His 2013 single HAPPY was a breakout hit that accompanied the animated film Despicable me.

Being the face of The Neptunes has created an image that Pharell himself was the brains behind some of the greatest “Pharrell” hits. These accomplishments however have actually been the work of two of the most dynamic co producers in the industry, THE NEPTUNES. The duo consists of Parrell Williams and the musical genius of Chad Hugo.

Their early work introduced Kelis. Her smash hit CAUGHT OUT THERE (I HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW) was released in 1999 and they also introduced VA”s infamous Clipse Ft Pusha T and Malice.

To name a few because the list is incredible the duo are responsible for many hits throughout the late 90’s early 2000’s.

The impact these two guys had on the industry is incredible. It definitely comes as no surprise that Chad Hugo who announced his indefinite retirement from music in 2017, is heading back to the studio.

Both Chad and Pharrell have hinted at works that are being created currently as they chop and beat it up in the studio.

It seems they hsave works coming ft longtime co- conspirator Jay Z, Lil Uzi Vert, Brandy and Ray , Snoh Alegra and many more.

Definitely exciting times for the dudes from the beach who kept the club rocking for so many years. We look forward to their next offerings.
