The #HomagebarstotheR challenge is set to sweep the internet. The challenge, created by Chicago artist Antonio Jones aka Good Tone pays homage to Eric B and Rakim’s Paid in Full. The homage is intended to show respect and give respect to the God Emcee. It is evident to most hip hop heads of all generations that Rakim is a most revered hip hop legend. Nicki Minaj is once again standing by her man as he prepares to explain why he hasn’t registered as a sex offender. Nicki Minaj hasn’t had the greatest experiences lately when it comes down to the men in her life. Her brother Jelani Miraj was sentenced in January to 25 years to life for repeatedly raping an 11 year old girl. It Seems now that her husband Kenneth Petty is back in the can after being arrested by the feds for allegedly failing to register as a sex offender. There are a few poignant moments that resonate with my soul in this lifetime. The first would be watching the space shuttle challenger explode in the school auditorium in 1986 . Forgive me for saying, but haven’t we witnessed this already? I mean seriously. We waited for half a decade for the Carter V. Much anticipated would be a better way to describe a Popeyes Chicken sandwich. Is this album truly highly anticipated? ‘Don’t get me wrong, Lil Wayne’s has commandeered a few of my favorite tunes. The long-standing feud between Lil Wayne and his adoptive father played out through the media. All things happening without as much as a drop of music in a digital age. This age where artists remain hot for a millisecond as the consumers continue to consume. The Carter V left even the most dedicated Lil Wayne fans felling a bit underwhelmed. Let’s hope this album will be a return to the hip hop heavens holy sanctum.

As the sun set on September 7th 2018 so dimmed the light of one of the decades most talented and passionate artists. Mac miller was highly underrated for his songwriting and his soulfulness. I personally didn’t quite get the whole sensation of the Mac until I watched his NPR tiny desk performance. I was sold hook line and sinker after seeing the performance. Beat Battle Royale Producers competition
We have spent some time here at Beat Battle Royale reorganizing and restructuring our format. We are breaking down our competition structure to 8 heats. The top two producers from each heat will move on to the next round. Each heat will consist of 8 top unsigned producers. It is not our goal here at Beat Battle Royale to “discover” the next mega producer because the next mega producer already exists. It is however the goal of our platform to illuminate the next mega producers and bring and their abilities to the forefront. We don’t expect to build our brand overnight. We expect that with loyalty to our members, and a controlled quality group of producers and some outrageous incentives to participate, we will attain the reputation that we are the place that new producers will want to shine....
